Favorite have made their debut with "Party Time"!

SEE ALSO: EXO's D.O. talks about overcoming the stereotype on idol actors

"Party Time" is the title track of the girl group's first album 'My Favorite', and the girls are going for a "cutie, chic" concept. The song revolves around a group of girls who are talking during a summer's night.

The first girl gives out a vibe that she has been in some music videos, looks experienced !!

Good productions values, good verses, good pre-chorus....but no hook sadly.

KngSarang Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Tbh it sounded so promising-- AAnnnd then came the chorus and I was thrown off, was hoping it would be more powerful

eager_beaver Wednesday, July 5, 2017

The one who sang between 1:30 and 1:40 has an interesting voice.

When a CEO debuts a group, their first thought should be "what would come up if I googled it?" When you google Nu'est, does only Nu'est come up? Yes. When you google EXID, does EXID come up? Yes. EXO? Mamamoo? Even, Black Pink?

@Fritzb <-- Yes, the FEMALE K-pop Group *debut* situation seems *incredibly crowded* currently.

krell grumps Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Yes ; doing GOOGLE Search = 'Favorite Kpop Group' does *not* find any LISTINGS at the 'top' for this DEBUT Group ... IF they were named instead --> -=*FAVORITE*=- <-- including the 'Hyphen / ASSterisk / Equals' ; they MIGHT have better luck in having FANS actually LOCATE the FAVORITE Group website. And NOT sure that would actually 'help' much either.

Fritzb grumps Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Your reasoning is sound, but you're not thinking like a Korean - the primary target audience is Koreans, not English-speakers like us. If you Google their name in Hangul (페이버릿), they are well represented in the top search hits, particularly videos. If you search using NAVER (the preferred search engine of Koreans), either FAVORITE or 페이버릿 give their debut M/V as the top hit and other pages about the group dominate the first page of results.

krell Fritzb Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Increasingly, K-pop Group *sales* (revenue) from nations NOT S.KOREA ; is very IMPORTANT. NOT so much for S.KOREA DEBUT ; but in the 'longer run' future. So, often, ENGLISH Language serves as the 'second language' that *many* nations have a minimal understanding of it.

Fritzb krell Wednesday, July 5, 2017

That's all true of course, particularly for the big names, but for a rookie girl group from a little agency, they have to survive in Korea first. The odds are very much against them.

Kminyoungiee Fritzb Wednesday, July 5, 2017

So true "rookie group" from a "small new agency " doesn't scream let aim for the world. Korea is always #1 and they expand as they go.

Fritzb Kminyoungiee Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Exactly! No KPop group has ever had success internationally without first having success at home in Korea. A few have tried - Rania comes to mind - and precious little has come of it.

Yes, PURETTY Group (DSP Agency) was DEBUTED and aimed at JAPAN (not S.KOREA ; Year 2012?). And PURETTY was disbanded shortly thereafter. Past PURETTY members are *still* with DSP Agency (CHAEKYUNG with APRIL Group ; SOMIN with KARD Group).

Kminyoungiee krell Thursday, July 6, 2017

DSP media held big groups such as Fin.K.L , ss501, Kara , and sechskies. It doesn't matter if the aim for another country since that was their plan. But like u said they disbanded, clearly due to the lack of a strong fan base

krell Kminyoungiee Friday, July 7, 2017

It *seems* as though a K-pop Group *needs* to create SOME kind of FAN BASE in S.KOREA *before* trying for JAPAN Fans (and probably PRChina Fans too). However, BOA was/is somewhat of an exception on that. BOA got big in JAPAN first ; more than S.KOREA. But still, even BOA was *somewhat* known in S.KOREA ; in her beginnings period.
