Actor Ha Suk Jin and TWICE’s Dahyun are set to star in the upcoming film 'Run To You.'
'Run To You' is a running drama that tells the story of men racing through time in the present and the future as they chase the perfect ending. The film is directed by Lee Seung Hoon.
Inspired by the still-standing Korean men’s 100-meter record from 2017, the film adds cinematic imagination to real-life achievements. The story follows a retired Korean sprint record holder at the end of his prime and a high school rookie who simply loves running. Each character pursues their own thrilling challenge.
Ha Suk Jin plays the lead role of Kang Gu Myung, Korea’s top short-distance runner. Despite his record, he struggles with injuries, a divorce, and rumors about doping. This leaves him with the label of a “failure.” This marks Ha Suk Jin’s return to the big screen after nine years, following a special appearance in 'Like for Likes' in 2016.
High school challenger Kang Seung Yeol, played by Lee Shin Young, joins the track in pursuit of Ji Eun. He runs purely for the joy of it without worrying about records or university. Following his basketball showcase in 'Rebound' in 2023, audiences are eager to see his running skills.
Ji Eun is portrayed by TWICE’s Dahyun, marking her second film role after her screen debut in You Are the Apple of My Eye earlier this year. The film also features Yoon Seo Bin, who makes her debut in a feature-length film.
'Run To You' is set to premiere on September 10 at Lotte Cinema.
