'Produce 101's Kang Daniel is being criticized for smoking while holding a cat.
A past photo of Kang Daniel has surfaced supposedly from this past spring. Kang Daniel was born in 1996 and is legally allowed to smoke (has been a legal adult in Korea since 2015). While that could potentially cause an issue for some, the biggest issue netizens saw was that he was holding a cat while he was smoking, and that he was walking outside. The first is becoming an issue because it's bad for the cat's health, and the second would be an issue because it's illegal in South Korea to smoke on the streets.

Some fans have come to his defense to say that it's not a cigarette at all but an ice cream stick, but others have pointed out that the way he's holding the stick is not how you usually hold ice cream but how you usually hold cigarette sticks, and that ice cream would be too heavy to hold lightly as he is.
