Chaeyeon is in the same bowling team as EXO's Chanyeol, who invited her and all the other members of the bowling team to EXO's 'EXO'r'DIUM [dot]' concert on the weekend. However, the bowling team's attitude during the concert became a subject of controversy, as the entire team ate during the concert (there is no food allowed in the stadium during the concert), allegedly belittled the talk during the concert, and left before the concert had ended.�

Chaeyeon apologized on her Instagram, writing, "I didn't think my actions through. I'm sorry. I did sing along to the songs and I�cheered, too, but I do admit that I did do some wrong things. I couldn't help leaving before the concert was over because we had all agreed beforehand to leave after the first encore song. I'm sorry because I'm being told that [Chanyeol] and even his fans are being cursed out by other members' fans..."

While some fans are furious at the bowling team's actions, other fans are defending Chaeyeon, saying while the entire team's actions were problematic, Chaeyeon's only problem was that she was eating - otherwise, she was the best-behaved member at the concert who cheered and sang along to all the songs.
