We have all had that moment when we sat and thought, "Hmm, can I be like a K-Pop star?"

In the end, it can be a lot of work but it doesn't stop us from wanting to be just like our favorite K-Pop groups! Don't just dance in front of your mirror and sing at the noraebang anymore! Now you (Yes, YOU!) can train and live like a K-Pop star thanks to S Kpop Edutainment's '16 Chosen One' Summer Training Camp!

SEE ALSO: Which boy group would you like to join?

Like the title suggests, S Kpop Edutainment has started the '16 Chosen One' project where 16 K-Pop enthusiasts will be selected to participate in rigorous K-Pop star training. While it does cost a pretty penny ($5,000 to be exact!) the 5-week training schedule includes the following:

-Vocal Lessons

-Dance Classes

-Body Training

-Korean Language Course

-Profile Photo Shoots (with hair and Korean makeup)

-Room accommodations

-Airport pick up and send off (Moms, don't worry!!)

But most importantly, the 16 lucky guys/girls will be attending a final Recording Session at a professional studio with producers who have worked alongside artists such as SISTAR, 2AM, T-ara, Girl's Day and even f(x)'s Amber! The participant(s) who surpasses their training will also have a chance at auditioning with an entertainment company!

Already excited and ready to train? Check out the heart-stopping video below for more information.

WARNING. THIS IS A SCAM. I applied (out of curiosity and stupidity) for FREE. 10 hours later, they sent an email to me saying I purchased something for $525. I know this is a scam and it is trying to make me panic so I would pay. I, in fact, will not pay for this shit. DO NOT APPLY.

jelly1109 gt3lt_kpop Tuesday, April 25, 2017

I'm a little confused because I was a participant in this program last year. It's n ot a scam and the people are nice but you do feel like you're not getting your full money's worth. I'm not sure what email you received on your end, but sad to hear about that :(

Mwth711 jelly1109 Thursday, June 1, 2017

I'm thinking on joining and i'm trying to look for information about it but so far there aren't any (other than people calling it a scam). Since you were a participant before, do you mind answering some of my questions??? or sharing your experience?

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Sunday, June 11, 2017

So ? I was curious if you joined or not since then !

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Sunday, June 11, 2017

I'm still unsure if i should join or not.... are you thinking of joining?

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Wednesday, June 14, 2017

I already did yeah ^^ I must admit I'm still a bit worried but nothing sounded fishy to me at all and well, people can call me a koreaboo if they want but I'm really determined about it o//

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Thursday, June 15, 2017

Which one did you sign up for?? Ballad, dance, or rap??

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Thursday, June 15, 2017

It wasn't rap but hip hop so I chose this one o// Which one were you thinking of signing for ? ^^

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Friday, June 16, 2017

I was thinking either ballad or dance! I'm super happy I found someone that is joining too!!!

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Friday, June 16, 2017

So you're really joining after all ? ^-^ I'm glad too ^.^

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Friday, June 16, 2017

I'm 99% sure of joining haha, Did you send in your demos yet? I'm not sure what song to do TT

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Friday, June 16, 2017

Yeah I sent everything already o// But hum, did you talk to them ? Because the deadline is today from what I know so it's a little weird if you didn't even send the demos yet :'/ But may be I'm wrong o//

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Saturday, June 17, 2017

Oh? isn't the deadline on July 14???

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Saturday, June 17, 2017

July 14th ? Never heard this date ^^ I know they asked me to pay before Jun 17th ^^, But as I said you should just ask them ! I don't want to disappoint you for nothing >.<

jelly1109 Tuesday, June 20, 2017

sorry for the late response. if you have any questions, sure, you can ask :) Idk if I'll be able to answer all of them since the company S-kpop used to be under Secret9 Entertainment last year, but they've separated since.

Whateverwhats jelly1109 Tuesday, June 20, 2017

So, was it a good experience ? Was it worth it ? Are the teachers really gonna train us hard or is it gonna be a really easy level ? Also, are they gonna let us manage everything about food and transports or did they order you around once in a while ? x) Oh and can I ask how much you wasted in a month if that's not too noisy ? Also, did you feel safe and I suppose they'll take us to the company by car but didn't you freak out about getting into some random guys car ? Oh and are the people at the check in mostly guys or girls ? x) And that's all I can think about for now... Sorry for all these questions x)

jelly1109 Whateverwhats Tuesday, June 20, 2017

The coordinator unni was very helpful and sometimes they drove us around by car, but after getting used to things, we girls had to figure transportation out ourselves and travelled together (subway is super easy in Korea. Bus too, but most of the program students take the subway). It felt safe because Seoul isn't that scary as long as you're with another person (also, I've been to Korea several times before and it's easy to travel by yourself, so that might have helped). They sometimes treated us to food, but otherwise we took care of it ourselves (which is a normal thing in Korea). As for difficulty of training, the teachers assess your level and work off of that. Last summer, our levels were all really different, and they did their best to train according to the individual student. Again, S-kpop uses a different dance/vocal facility than the one we used last year, but I know the people in charge, and they did find a legit vocal training facility (Sand Factory, I believe). As for whether it was worth it - to some degree, yes. It gave me a taste of what it's like to train and I met really great people. But if you're expecting to get swept away as a kpop star, probably not. Also, Korean companies in general (even the largest ones) aren't the best organizers, so sometimes the program felt copy and pasted together. I'd say the value of the experience is what you put into it - during my session, most of the girls were really determined to practice (the ones who weren't probably didn't have as much fun).

Mwth711 jelly1109 Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Did you guys get practice rooms for practice after class hours???

jelly1109 Mwth711 Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Yup. We trained at a facility called BJJ music, so I don't know what Sand Factory is like (where s-kpop students go now), but I'm sure it's the same, if not better.

Whateverwhats jelly1109 Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Than you for your answers it really helped a lot ^-^ I'm even more hyped now x)

Mwth711 jelly1109 Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Thank you for answering to me too! ^^

jelly1109 Whateverwhats Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Are you and @Mwth711 both applying? :O

Whateverwhats jelly1109 Thursday, June 22, 2017

I can't talk for @Mwth711 but as for me, yes I am o//

Mwth711 jelly1109 Thursday, June 22, 2017

Yes, I am applying haha. I'm actually kind of nervous if everyone is super ultra talented and I'm just a potato in the corner lmao

Whateverwhats Mwth711 Thursday, June 22, 2017

Don't worry, if you're really right we'll be two potatoes at least x)

Mwth711 Whateverwhats Thursday, June 22, 2017

lmao, I hope it will be a good and fun experience atleast !! :)

gt3lt_kpop Sunday, April 23, 2017

Soooo..... You have to pay $5000 if you're chosen, they don't pay for the air fare, passport/visa process fee, and personal expenses (meals, transportation, etc). Adding that all up is about $8000-$9000. Bitch I ain't spending $8,500 on this scam.

ges111 Sunday, April 23, 2017

If you're passionate about performing then this would most likely be worth it. Is it 5k up front or can it be paid over time?

Jaraiya_Ero Sunday, April 23, 2017

Oh pity that I'm too old... Or else I'll rule with my Tom Jones/Elvis tracks!! XD

Eeha Sunday, April 23, 2017

The "Click Here to be 1 Chosen One" link is not working. Can anyone actually access the site? I get the error: The site you are connected to has exceeded the allowable connection amount.

CreepyGuurl Eeha Sunday, April 23, 2017

I just clicked, because I was curious and it works. I would want to post the link, but it doesn't work somehow..

NORM Sunday, April 23, 2017

Ha-Ha-Ha -_- , I feel like it would be cheaper to fly to korea, audition for a not-so popular company & train for those 5 wks, OR heck sign up for dance & vocal lessons + get a gym membership :/

Taengggggg Sunday, April 23, 2017

okay so a week costs (if you don't include air fare) 1K and a day cost you $142.85 to be exact.... okay sooounds reasonable if you calculate it this way. an hour costs you $5.95 provided you don't sleep at all.... sounds like a gooooood deal xD

ThyDiana Sunday, April 23, 2017

but like my exams are coimg up soo......this is a nope for me...although....i really want to go.... QAQ

alphabeta91 Sunday, April 23, 2017

I'd rather keep my $5000

hiroonakamura Sunday, April 23, 2017

will this include starving yourself, getting bodyshamed in front of everyone if your weight didnt go down enough from last week and being used almost like a slave for the label's purposes? Otherwise, this won't be a genuine experience
