On the April 21 broadcast of 'Baek Jong Won's Top 3 Chefs', g.o.d's Son Ho Young appeared as a guest and mentioned how much the g.o.d members spent on food during a six-month period. "If I remember correctly, I think it was around 200 million KRW (176,000 USD)," he said, shocking the studio.
He then went on to explain, "We rarely got a chance to eat during our trainee days, one meal was the most."

Hearing this, Chef Baek Jong Won asked, "Was it due to the financial crisis back then?" Son Ho Young replied, "That's correct. The IMF came to our office that time and caused quite a ruckus. Since we couldn't eat properly then, once we made our debut we vowed to 'never hold back on food expenses'. We even wrote in our contracts to 'not interfere when it comes to eating," he confessed, surprising the audience once again.
