As previously reported, EXO's ad is now up in New York City's world famous Times Square for their 5th anniversary.

The EXO Baidu Bar celebrated the boys' 5th anniversary since debut by displaying pictures and videos in Times Square's Reuters Billboard, which is one of the biggest screens in the square. The boys aren't just on one display, but on all the screens on the building!

Many fans went to Times Square on April 8 (the anniversary date of EXO) and captured footage of the advertisement. Check them out below!

EXO Baidu Bar impressive as always! Thank you for showing such love to our boys ❤️

Aki06 Sunday, April 9, 2017

It is impressive.

While all the New Yorker's walk by like, "who are those Asian girls?"

Haneefah Sunday, April 9, 2017

woooahh.. hopefully curiosity will get to ppl..

hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

This is an absolutely dumb move by SM. First, not many people either knows or care about Exo. Second, why include Chinese? This whole thing all about riding the coattail of BTS.

knj hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

sm didn't even do this it was all exols, exols have put various ads on time square for bts so they're not riding the coattail of bts : /

fluffyjennisa hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

You clearly didn't read the article, then why comment lol? It just makes you look dumb. Plus you do realize nobody is riding on nobody's fame, right? EXO doesn't need to ride another group's fame, they are popular enough on their own. Just like BTS. Stop spreading hate, you won't be a better person because of that. ;)

BASHER hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

dude before you comment, read the article. fyi EXO is not riding the coattail of BTS.

Whoooo hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

lol for your information it was the Exo Ls who did this. It just proves that we can support exo better then u army can to bts. AND exo was formed before bts.

SalimatouBalde hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

LOL. This was a dumb from you because SME didn't even do this, it was exo-l

Celechi Whoooo Sunday, April 9, 2017

That was rude.. Armys support BTS just as well, this doesn't prove anything. Both fandoms support their own groups their own way..

baekthoven hyukki Sunday, April 9, 2017

gtfo, not everything's about bts. It's time that certain armys stop being so obsessed with exo and exo-ls

LiteralGarbage hyukki Monday, April 10, 2017

Lol an ARMY here wondering: wtf ur talking about.

mgcharli hyukki Monday, April 10, 2017

Don't make your fandom look stupid by commenting like this. Don't show your age mentality its so embarrassing.

Why New York though? Why even America? Kpop is a niche market here, especially in NYC, an American Hip hop, Indie rock, Electronic music dominated city. Just saying, Would make more sense if this was in Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo, where these dudes might be known, But hey, your money.

morninglory248 MrDapper Sunday, April 9, 2017

Uh what are you talking about? There are a lot of Kpop fans in NYC too.

pink_oracle MrDapper Sunday, April 9, 2017

New York is a very multicultural city, it's safe to assume there are a lot of K-pop fans there. Plus American Exo fans probably decided NY would get the ad maximum exposure.

MrDapper morninglory248 Sunday, April 9, 2017

Like I said, kpop is a niche market. Didn't say there wasn't a following, it is nonetheless a niche market.

MrDapper morninglory248 Sunday, April 9, 2017

As aforementioned, kpop is a niche market. facts are facts. doesn't mean there isn't a following but there isn't a large enough following for it to be worth paying 10,000+ dollars for a 5 minute ad on TS. In my opinion.

Annggeell MrDapper Monday, April 10, 2017

What you said makes sense somehow, how about London or Paris or LA, Beijing, Tokyo but there are a lot of tourists in NYC, and a few kpop fans, so not a bad choice imo.

mgcharli MrDapper Monday, April 10, 2017

That's the sole purpose of ads right? To advertise. For a product to be known. The more reason for this ad to be done. It was a good move. All well known whether its electronics or people started from being unknown and did ads to advertise too.
