Actor Ryu Joon Yeol's agency C-JeS Entertainment has stated its intent to take legal action on his behalf against netizens spreading malicious rumors.
On April 21, C-JeS stated, "We plan to take legal action against those making false rumors and claims about the actor. In February of last year, a netizen claimed the actor was part of the online community 'Ilbe' and spread false rumors. Though the post was deleted, false rumors about the actor have spread from the incident."
The agency continued, "We have reported the IP addresses of users who attempted to sign up for 'Ilbe' with Ryu Joon Yeol's identity to the police, but the malicious comments and offensive posts have only increased. From this point forward, we will take legal action against netizens defaming Ryu Joon Yeol."
