During a recent recording of 'Mr. House Husband', the couple went to look for a new house, as the lease on their current house was expiring soon. Eli wanted a roomy living room with a good view, and Eli's wife wanted a good tub to wash the baby with.

However, because of rising prices, the pair had to lower their standards and move to the outer boundaries of Seoul. Eli was disappointed by reality, and his wife tried to lighten the mood and said, "Sometime ago, to buy the foreign car you wanted, I had to sell 10 of my most cherished handbags. I cried so much after that. You didn't know that, right?"

so sick of this media playing couple. why is she crying on tv about selling luxury bags for a luxury car? is that anything to even be crying about? it's a miracle she could even afford to have not 1, but 10 luxury bags in the first place. i can't stand them.

I deleted what I was going to say, and now I'm going to say this: I think he and his wife should buy land and BUILD the house they want. Extend their contract on their current house and look for vacant residential-zoned land, and then build the house they want. Hire some cheap labor out of Mexico and figure out: What kind of amenities you want, how many bedrooms, do you want a one story home or a two story home, do you want a basement or attic, and if so, what do you want to do with that space, how much of a front yard do you want, how much of a backyard do you want, what's the amount of square footage do you want? Things of that nature. Land prices in Korea may be much higher than in the U.S., but it'll still be a damn sight cheaper than buying a house in Korea.

What his wife did is sweet, but he needs to learn to be frugal if money is tight. Don't drink wine on a beer budget, especially when you have a child's future to think of.
