According to the Gangneung police on March 2, Mrs. Kim (36) was rushed to the Gangneung hospital for a 2nd-degree burn on her face and back.

It's reported that Mrs. Kim and her husband Mr. Choi (42) stopped by the infrastructure center they own after having several drinks. When Mrs. Kim tried to drive home, Mr. Choi confiscated her keys and demanded her to call a designated driver.
Unable to resist her anger, Mrs. Choi brought out the oil from the infrastructure center and lit her body on fire.
The fire was put down shortly by her husband but Mrs. Kim gave herself a 2nd-degree burn and a sofa in the center was burnt down.
Currently, Mr. Choi is under investigation.
