SM and YG's contrasting comments toward Kim Se Jung during 'K-Pop Star 2' draws attention

Yang Hyun Suk and BoA's comments toward Kim Se Jung during her appearance on SBS 'K-Pop Star 2' is drawing attention. 

Before her fame through 'Produce 101', IOI, and Gugudan, Kim Se Jung tried out for the second season of 'K-Pop Star' in 2012. At the time, the representatives from YG and SM Entertainment had contrasting comments about the idol.

After watching Kim Se Jung's performance, BoA commented, "I'm not sure how to train her. I will give up casting."

On the other hand, Yang Hyun Suk stated, "She lacked understanding of the song but her breathing was good. With a little bit of care and training, I think she'll become a great singer." Ultimately, Yang Hyun Suk saved Kim Se Jung from elimination and cast her in YG.
