You all knew it was coming, but are you ready for it?

A.Leean has dropped a brief MV teaser for her U.S. debut with new single, "Fall Back"! Of course, A.Leean is none other than a new alias for Ailee, and she will be partnering up with WestSide Entertainment for her U.S. venture.

A lyric video for her single will be out soon!
  1. Ailee

Lol, when I first saw the title of the article I was like "who is this rookie that thinks they can debut in the U.S.?!? Didn't realize Ailee was changing her name for this.

Like other people said, I'm not a huge fan of the name change :( I think Ailee is a beautiful name and it probably could have helped make her transition more impactful. But I'm no expert in transitioning between foreign and domestic markets haha. Ailee, A.Leean, either way, I'm looking forward to any song by her!

The name change is pointless and confusing. What's wrong with Ailee? Did they really think the US market would be confused or put off by that name? As A.Leean sure does put me off... also why they would choose to alter her voice and show an animated human rather than Ailee just seems like a really bad way to market a new artist.

I didn't even know who A.Leean was. The name change is just dumb. She should just go by Ailee. Plus, based on this snippet, I am not amused. I love Ailee's voice. The snippet makes this sound like something from an anime and not something that will get airplay here in the States. No matter what, I wish her the best, but I don't think that she'll get far unfortunately.

i'm so excited

The name change thing isn't right but who knows if the company wanted her to change it. But i do think that it was best to make her keep her ailee stage name because it could really benefit non kpop listeners to actually search her up and take notice in what she does. I like the teaser like when she first started saying that one line made me feel more anticipated. What i dont like is that character drawn in the teaser; dont exactly know what that is 💁 but i was really hoping that she would keep the same concept and music like her latest album "the new empire" made me wish that she actually did english versions off of that album. Still supporting her though

The name is fine, its the song I'm worried about. It sounds so outdated for American standards... I love Ailee and will support whatever she does, but being flat out honest this sounds like a Disney Channel Musical. She couldn't of done something along the lines of Chainsmokers? Rihanna? She didn't have to copy their style, but she could leap off of it and add her own flair... this is just so mediocre and won't sit well with an American audience. And the whole "alien" concept?? Already flopped. Britney Spears did it in 2001, it's not 2001 anymore. I live in an area where music is HEAVILY prioritized and pretty much sets the stage for the rest of the country, I don't think I would even show my non-pop friends this. I'll still enjoy it though, I'm just not getting my hopes up for anything record breaking.

Hahaha, an early 2000s cartoon popped into my head when I saw the animation but I agree with you. The music is off and the name is odd. She is going to flop.

What the!?  Why does she need to change her name?
