In her letter, Dara wrote,

"To my Blackjacks,

I never knew I would be writing such a letter. Firstly, I'm sorry to break your hearts, I'm sorry I couldn't keep us together, and I'm very sorry that I cause you pain. The past 7 years were really like a dream because of you guys, and it'll be remembered fondly with happiness. CL, Bom, Minzy, and I .. Us four will always be grateful and will forever treasure those times as good memories. The existence of Blackjacks always give us love, support, and protection. I wanted to give you guys good music in return, but I'm so upset and sorry that we can't... It hurts so much now, but let's cheer up. I hope you guys strengthen up and do well in all you do. My heart towards you guys will never change, and I'll work hard to always show a good side of myself. I can't express everything with just the words 'thank you,' but thank you so much for your excessive love.

November of 2016 will be remembered as the most lonely winter of all..

2NE1's cute vocal, Dara."

CL also wrote,

Dear Blackjacks,

I don't even know where to start but I just wanted to let you guys know that we are still here and we will always be one team, one family.

Minzy, Bom Dara will all be doing great things on their own and I will always love and support them. And I hope you all know, YG, the members and I, we all really tried to make things work. I left everything behind and was in Korea all summer working on our album, but it fell apart... tough times...

What we have to remember is that we made amazing memories for the last 7 years together and I wouldn't have had it in any other way, with any other group of people. From 2NE1 TV, all the awards, all the shows.... you guys made it possible. You guys always had our back. You all are the most creative, loyal, classy, strong, fun, funny and the baddest fans anyone could ask for! I feel very blessed to have you guys in my life, on this journey, growing together and I am thankful every single day to have amazing fans like you support us doing what we love.

I love you. I love you. I love you.

Missing you guys more than ever..."

나의 블랙잭에게... The announcement last friday was very painful to ALL of us. But the past 7 years has been filled with good and wonderful memories I will treasure forever. We - CL, Bom, Minzy, and I - will always be 2NE1. And you will always be our loyal, supportive, and loving BLACKJACKS!!! That will never, ever change. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. - Dara of 2NE1

tbh, I don't get why people are calling YG snakes and stuff. Like why would he disband one of the most ICONIC KPOP GIRL GROUPS? It just doesn't make sense, especially after everything he's done. In the end, I think it was 2ne1's decision to disband, ultimately. 2ne1 is still very popular and still gives YG lots of money, so why would he just make them disband? It doesn't add up. In the end, I think it was 2ne1's decision after Minzy left. It's just not the same anyways

I guess it was meant to be. At least they ended on top. They never made a bad record. I can let it go now. I'll I can hope is that people will support each member and they will all do cool things. I look forward most to a new BOM single. I hope the trolls will leave her alone she is one of the greatest. BMDC forever.

I CANNOT believe some people. YG is literally trying his hardest. WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD PURPOSELY DISBAND 2NE1 ? Definitely not YG. Idk why people are blaming him. Whatever the members/staff/employees wants he always, ALWAYS gives them what they want. CL WANTED to debut in America. He made that happen for her. Bom asked for a hiatus, he gave her a fucking long ass vacation with money !! Dara, didn't care what she was doing, she just wanted for all the other members to come back quickly together. Near, the end all the members planned on coming back with a new album but BOOMBAYAH ! Minzy DECIDED to leave YG which ruined the album. They all TRIED to make it work with 3 members but NO ONE WANTS 3. It doesn't FEEL right, it won't LOOK right and it certainly wouldn't SOUND right. NO, I am not blaming Minzy, necessarily, but YG has done nothing but cared for these girls as if they were his daughters. So ALL of you need to SHUT UP and love them all for doing their BEST for the past 7 fucking beautiful years !

It's mostly mob mentality and also the blame game that majorly played with it. Do they even know that Yang hyun Suk is not the CEO of YG since 2001 and that he is just the executive producer. The CEO is his brother and they have a board of directors. The decision most likely came from the higher ups.

karakamilia mydisplayname Monday, December 5, 2016

No, but you're wrong. Yang Hyun Suk is still top boss. He was the founder of the company and his younger brother doesn't own more than 20% of the company. That's not that much compared to Hyun-Suk. CEO is just a label. A label that YG gave to Min-Suk, in order for him to have a good life. and help his brother. YG is the one who decides who gets to debut or leaves etc. Min-Suk decides more technical and calculated things.

"While the older brother is now in charge of nurturing celebrities and producing music, Min-suk takes care of managing the company. 'Our roles are clearly divided,' said Min-suk, who earned a master’s degree in business management at Yonsei University. 'My brother doesn’t know all the minute details involved in running the company.'” - Yang Min Suk, 2011 Although he's the major shareholder, he doesn't own 50% of the shares to be able to sway the board of directors. He's an executive music producer, he's got power but not the same as before. He's the boss and the face of YG ent, but it's not solely his now.

Actually, Yang Hyun Suk isn't even in the Board of Directors, it's his brother and Sean who are in it. From wall street journal, these are the people responsible for the decisions within YG: Min-Seok Yang, 43 (Chief Executive Officer & Director; KT Music Corp., YG Entertainment, Inc., Next Interactive K Ltd., YG PLUS, INC.), Ro-Sean Kim, 42 (Director; YG Entertainment, Inc.), Bo-Gyeong Hwang, 46 (Director; YG Entertainment, Inc., Art & Design International, YG Entertainment Japan Co., Ltd.), Sung-Jun Choi, 46 (Director; YG Entertainment Asia Ltd., Next Interactive K Ltd., YG Entertainment, Inc.), Sang-Hoon Park, 55 (Outside Director; YG Entertainment, Inc.), Yue Wu, 63 (Outside Director; YG Entertainment, Inc.), Hae-Min Yoo, 34 (Director; YG Entertainment, Inc., YG PLUS, INC.), Ho-Sang Lee, 45 (Outside Director YG Entertainment, Inc., Hyundai Accounting Corp.)

i guess it's bom's decision to leave. it's not like yg forced her, i think he even persuade bom to stay but at the end it's bom's decision
