Crayon Pop has reached their crowd-funding goal of $8,608.08 in under 2 hours!

The group announced that the funding would be used towards 'Crayon Pop Winter Party', which will be an event consisting of performances, games, and more for their fans.

The funding opened on the 'Makestar' website on November 10 and will be lasting until January 31, but Crayon Pop has already exceeded their goal! They reached half their goal in just 20 minutes and the full goal in under two hours. As of this writing, they have raised nearly $14,000 USD!

apieth nctu_127 Tuesday, November 15, 2016

This is what us fans wanted. Been a long time since they have a mini concert. Last is 2013

nctu_127 apieth Wednesday, November 16, 2016

you wanted cringy? imig

circadianite Friday, November 11, 2016

There are plenty of groups struggling for money who manage to do fan events without making the fans pay for it. I don't know, I just find it tacky.

badjainna circadianite Friday, November 11, 2016

LOL, special events almost or all of them are paid by fans, they buy tickets to attend the fan meeting, fans need to by tickets for special event even by a big companies. Only a normal event that doesn't require to pay, but mostly fans chipping in to pay for the accommodation.

newhere circadianite Friday, November 11, 2016

Your paying for their merchandise..not just donating money

apieth circadianite Saturday, November 12, 2016

Crayon Pop has the best fan service ever. They always spend some time for mini fan meeting after schedule to talk & hi-touch fans who came to cheer them and it's free. This winter party project contains live performance, dinner, games, fansign, souvenirs, etc which need money to make it happen. From fans for fans. Donate? Why not? ^^ i love them so much

ryusan2113 circadianite Saturday, November 12, 2016

I love makestar I wish more rookie and struggling groups used makestar it gives international fans a chance to actually help out the groups, Sometimes we have no way of supporting them but makestar is a great way for fans to see their group who aren't making as much money continue to perform and stick around

circadianite badjainna Saturday, November 12, 2016

Mmm but it's the way it's done that's tacky, not the fact fans funded it. All idols are fan funded, even just from buying the music, but they don't just say 'give us money'. It's just kind of classless.

badjainna circadianite Saturday, November 12, 2016

@circadianite, you should read first not only the title it seems like you don't know any idea how crayon pop works.

circadianite badjainna Sunday, November 13, 2016

No, I do. And I read it. It's tacky af.

badjainna circadianite Monday, November 14, 2016

@circadianite, your not a fan of crayon pop that is why you have no idea how they works. Its a fans funding Projects usually the pop-jussi is the one organizing things whenever there's a fan meeting but this time its Crayon Pop, its not just they asking for money for nothing, those money will use for accommodation, dinner, games prices, souvenirs, etc. etc. And take note Crowd Funding are widely used now a days by independent artist/musicians there's nothing wrong with that. And the good thing about Crayon Pop they satisfied their fans with activities!

circadianite badjainna Monday, November 14, 2016

You're still not understanding. I don't care if this is how crayon pop usually does things or not, it's TACKY. By all means sell merch, sell tickets, do all that stuff, but straight out saying "give us money or we won't do shit for you" is not classy, it gets rid of that whole illusion they give a crap about fans, or that being a fan of them is about anything besides money. So fine, you're a fan, good for you ... you're a cash cow and they're not even pretending otherwise. Enjoy.

Cloaked_Bandit circadianite Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Actually, I've never heard of CP doing makestar before. "illusion they give a crap about fans" Sorry, Crayon Pop is awesome to their fans. Also donating to the project gets you merch, signed cds, photo cards, and the such. So, it's like buying merch and helping put on a show too. They're a small company, it'd be tacky if they were asking donations with nothing in return, but that is not the case. Also used Makestar: A-pink 2pm Laboum Rainbow ninemuses Tahiti berrygood Wa$$up Some did photobooks, some albums, some exclusive $45 cellphone cases. It's not tacky, part of being a fan is being a consumer. It's a music "industry". No one said "give us money or we won't do shit for you" I'm sure you fangirl over something for you to be here, so understand where I'm coming from. Also, that's not how "cash cow" is used.

4Nia_Love Friday, November 11, 2016

That's because we love them <3

sototallyrandom Friday, November 11, 2016

Wow, that's really fast for that amount of money! :o Hope they'll pull off the event. Welp, still hoping they'll get the recognition they deserve! <3

ryusan2113 Friday, November 11, 2016

holy cow faster goal i have ever seen! go Crayon pop!

ryusan2113 Friday, November 11, 2016

apieth ryusan2113 Saturday, November 12, 2016

Really? And how long is the 2nd fastest one?

ryusan2113 apieth Saturday, November 12, 2016

I am unsure

nami_chan Friday, November 11, 2016

wow congratulations crayon pop =)

Winston Friday, November 11, 2016

They hit $14,000 goal with only 63 pledges, which means an avg of $221 per person, since the Makestar pledge SETS, is $172.20 for SET 4, and the most expensive set 5 is $860.90, that means most of those 63 who pledged in the first 2 hours are getting set 4, with a few getting the expensive Set 5. The Set 5 includes "Invitation to the Winter Party" itself.

behonest7648 Winston Friday, November 11, 2016

I would love to go to the party but $800 for the invite and then maybe $1100 to a flight to Korea seems steep. I might just settle for the 3rd or 4th tier since I never bought their physical album .

Tzuyu_4yu Friday, November 11, 2016

we honestly need more of these girls. They should probably put Bar Bar Bar in a commercial (it is one of the most watched/liked kpop songs after all) like they did with Llevan Polka, because they need more recognition and their entertainment company is not doing that.

newhere Tzuyu_4yu Friday, November 11, 2016

Everyone's heard bar3 10billion times already..they wana hear something new.....whats llevan polka?

smokeee Friday, November 11, 2016

and wow the twins dont even look like twins anymore

apieth smokeee Saturday, November 12, 2016

They always like that. So would be easy for fans to differentiate them. But sometimes, fans still called them wrong :p. I miss subunit Strawberry Milk, where they wore same outfit n hairstyle, trolling us fans

smokeee Friday, November 11, 2016

i dont know wtf happened to them or why they're doing fund raisers like they're debuting again, but i swear if they went overseas and failed,. then come crawling back to korea i'm off the crayon pop wagon.

Winston smokeee Friday, November 11, 2016

I heard their company Chrome Entertainment, had a change of CEO and every staff, its like as if a new company took over, the prev girl group project by Chrome, Bob Girls formed after Crayon Pop was also disbanded after a few months, its quite strange considering the agency must have gotten some money from their Bar Bar Bar success.

tyger11 Winston Friday, November 11, 2016

It looks like they spent the Bar Bar Bar money forming all those new groups which then failed. Old Chrome crew were nice and got them going, but had no idea how to pivot from Bar Bar Bar. Many wasted opportunities for the girls. :(

4Nia_Love smokeee Friday, November 11, 2016

So you are not a real fan then? No need for you then.

newhere 4Nia_Love Friday, November 11, 2016

Just following like sheep..not a true fan

apieth tyger11 Saturday, November 12, 2016

Bar Bar Bar was very big during the days. But no Crayon Pop on variety show to extend their popularity. Sure a big mistake from this inexperienced small company. They use money from Bar Bar Bar to debut bobgirls kmuch n zanzan. My poor girls

Cloaked_Bandit apieth Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Unfortunately a member of bobgirls was diagnosed with encephalitis so they disbanded. I think that was part of the problem, no return on investment. CP is fine though, even if Soyul decided not to return (I'm sure she'll come back after a while) the girls are known, have a good fanbase (obviously), they do dramas and musicals, and they extended their contracts and say they want to do it for a long time. They want to be like the female dj doc, a long running group with recognition. I think they're playing the slow game.

apieth Cloaked_Bandit Saturday, November 19, 2016

There are still a lot of things they haven't shown. They will last long. They should. I will always support. Soyul should back after recovered. Cpop is 5.
