IOI's Pinky impressed on JTBC's 'Abnormal Summit' on November 28 with her impeccable Korean speaking skills despite being Chinese.

Jeon So Mi, who was also on the show, complimented the fellow member on speaking Korean well. She said, "She says hard words like 'half-asleep' and 'resplendent.'"

I think you confusing japanese with chinese , chinese didn't force anyone to learn chinese , it was their choice cuz china was head of there time during ancient times of china just like english language now .

Before King Sejeong of the Joseon Dynasty invented hangul, they used to use chinese characters as their written language. I learn that from watching korean dramas. lol

yeah I didn't deny that Chinese was the literate languge at anceint time , check my comment again , I said that in anceint times chinese was like english now day , for that region in the world not only koreans needed to learn chinese but also japanese , veitnamese , and alot other minority ethical groups had to learn chinese languge to gain access to the sceince and knowlage of anceint china , just like how we now learn english to communicate , no one is forcing english on anyone , nor was chinese forced back then , that's why mostly only nobles would learn chinese not the common people .

Obviously the chinese empire didn't favour it. The koreans essentially stole the chinese vocabulary (the foundation) and added some twists thereby developing hangul. I hope you realize that korean and even japenese have chinese roots. These languages wouldn't exist without chinese.

I was not refuting your statement. I just thought it was funny that I'd remember that tidbit because of korean dramas.

You asked me are you a chintok (derogatory term for chinese person). If you expect a yes or no response, then you are seriously messed up.
