SM Entertainment warns legal action against malicious rumors about their artists

On October 7, SME officially announced, "Recently, serious incidents hindering the privacy of our artists' have occurred frequently. The spread of malicious, false rumors, invasion of privacy, and more going on and offline have seriously damaged both the physical and mental healths of not only our artists but also their families and friends. We have decided that these incidents can no longer be tolerated, and to protect our label artists, we will take strong action against those who violate privacy and/or engage in illegal action. Once again, we appreciate all those who love our label artists. Please give your support and encouragement."

Many fans also wish that a severe penalty put an end to actions which harm SM artists with malicious comments and rumors.
