Big Bang's leader G-Dragon has officially been invited to receive an award of recognition in the upcoming '2016 Pop Culture and Arts Awards' that will be held by Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Taking place on October 27, this annual award ceremony celebrates entertainers, singers, voice artists, drama script writers, models, and more who have contributed to leading the pop-culture and arts innovation. 30 individuals are awarded each year.

G-Dragon is being recognized for his success as a top idol who has had an significant impact on Korean Wave with music, fashion, and more.
Previously, Jun Ji Hyun, JYJ, I.U., and others have been honored with the recognition.
