The parents of Big Bang's fans in Taiwan reportedly complained about the group's fan meeting hours, ultimately, leading to a cancellation of the event.

Originally, Big Bang was scheduled to hold a fan meeting on September 10 in Taipei, Taiwan at both 2PM and 7 PM. However, many fans' parents complained that the event scheduled at 2 PM would be inconvenient for fans in school and would most likely cause them to skip their classes.

As a result, Taiwanese event planning organization IMEtw canceled the fan meeting scheduled for 2 PM and refunded all tickets. YG Entertainment also spoke up about the change in schedule, stating, "The extension in Taipei was never officially confirmed, so it would be wrong to call it a cancellation", even though the event posters were already printed and advertised.

Well it makes sense. School-age kids are pretty reckless when it comes to their favorite kpop groups. But I mean, it's Big Bang. School should just be cancelled... ;) lol jk but seriously they should've considered their fans at school when deciding times. And come on, YG, just admit you made a mistake and promise to fix it next time, no need to try and brush it off for the sake of your high pride.

well the parents are right . I mean when they know most of fans are students at school and They know when the most of schools are over  so they must make their schedules based on  the best time for their viewers ,

They could redconduct it for another day... I could understand why parents are concerned about this. Those events target a lot of young students and whatever the reason, school is always the priority.

well in our country the weekend is thursdays and fridays so we go to school on saturdays. having different weekends doesn't mean there is anything wrong.

It's not just one day really, for things like this, people will start lining up like black Friday which means skipping classes or leaving early... and Asia tends to take education VERY seriously

minamitakitty Friday, September 2, 2016

When parents get so involved in kpop that they have the power to control the idols 'events lmao. That blows.
