On the June 17 airing of 'Duet Festival', Tei and fellow male singer Na Yoon Kwon talked about their past dating rumors. The MCs asked, "Is it true that you two were involved in a dating scandal?"

Na Yoon Kwon explained, "It might seem weird, but we've traveled to Thailand together." The MCs then jokingly questioned, "What does Na Yoon Kwon mean to Tei?", and Tei also jokingly responded, "We are in a good oppa/dongseng relationship."
