It was brought to the attention of netizens, particularly of EXO-Ls, that an EXO fan Twitter account was hacked.

Supposedly, this fan account, called @EXOffical, was the biggest Twitter fan account dedicated to EXO with around 1.1 million followers.
Netizens speculate that this particular Twitter fan page was hacked by someone from the BTS fandom, as the account that allegedly infiltrated @EXOffical's page was renamed @bts_bangtanews. Once the hacker accessed @EXOffical, s/he deleted all the content on the page and deactivated the account.
Needless to say, EXO-Ls, particularly the owners of @EXOffical, are upset about the whole fiasco. Many EXO fans have called out the alleged BTS fan on Twitter for hacking which seems to have put even a greater strain on the already tense relationship between EXO and BTS fans.

Honestly that person is not considered and ARMY causing even more Controversy than whats already happening between different fandoms. You can love BTS I'm not telling you to Love EXO but seriously to go far as to hack into an account, An EXO fan page at that and disrespect not only EXO but Exo-L, ARMY, and BTS. Seriously your not considered an ARMY for doing that. God. I'm a fan of both because they're both good artist. What do you think would happen if someone logged into the BTS fan page that we may or may not have hacked it changed it to an Exo-L fan page then Deactivated it. Honestly these people need to stop causing Controversy.

It's actually really disappointing to see fans doing that. Myself as a fan don't see why a fan war, but some people on the Internet really need to know when to grow up. This really childish + idiotic act has brought nothing but a bunch of hate. Who ever this person is, I'm just saying that not the whole world is about you, if others decided to maybe like a band perhaps you didn't like, you should force their opinions or even having thoughts about taking their fan page. A person like you doesn't deserve the title of Army of even any other fan name. Your immature act was really stupid and here I am thinking that you are a 3 year old not knowing that not everyone can take your opinion and you just have to face the hard reality. If they decide to bad mouth your idols and let it be it. This hacking incident had just add nothing more but a whole lot more weight onto this so called 'fan war'. Me personally as both a Exo-L and an Army think that this is absolutely unnecessary and the fans who are involved in it should stick their nose out of the business because it's disgusting and ugly as hell on the Internet.

Can I point something out? I really like the fact that they said ARMY and not ARMYs. They didn't blame all of us, and that was truly nice. I hope Exo-L and ARMY get along somehow.

i am srsly so ashamed and so sorry towards exo L and well, myself since i consider myself as one. espacially the fandomwar between exo L and army is so big and i am somehow inbetween because there is no other groups that i am so addicted to like bts and exo, and i have to say i could not choose which one I like more, and so it hits me even harder when things like that happen. if that is army then i am not an army but a fan, and if that is exo L then i am not one. or maybe, those people that do things like that can be not considered as army or exo-l or whatever, just as assholes that support fanwar in the name of people they don't belong to.
