On June 27, Brave Girls held a comeback showcase for their 3rd mini album, 'High Heel'.

During their talk portion, Brave Girls talked about how hard it's become to place on music charts these days. Member Hyeran stated, "It's changed a lot in the past 4 years. Back then, if you released an album, then you ended up on the charts, but these days, it's not easy. The atmosphere at music shows has changed too. After our 'Deepened' promotions, we're trying to let go of our greed."

On what they wanted from their promotions this time around, they said, "If our MV surpasses 500,000 views, we plan on releasing a special clip. Please look forward to it."

And if they place 1st on a music show? "It would be best if we went along with what our fans and the public want us to do," the girls relayed.

Do you like Brave Girls' new song "High Heel"?

"High Heel" is a good song, well executed, and just plain fun.  I hope Brave Girls does well with it.

is this group popular now? or why I'm seeing 1-2 articles about them per day?

mikaay ramdn Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Well i wouldn't say popular cause koreans don't realx k ow them but AKP is pushing them since their international fanbase grew a lot lately.

If you kept Yejin then you'll be on the charts all day every day, every damn day.

One thing is for sure: it's pretty hard for rookie groups to win. They are either lucky like Twice (who would've guessed "Cheer Up" will become such a hit?!) or they're mad talented and come from good backgrounds like Winner babies or iKON. It usually takes time to win even if they are super good. T_T Like goosh, B.A.P's first win was after the release of such hits as "Warrior" "No Mercy" "Badman" "One Shot" and so on! Even BTS took a lot of songs and time. ;^; Patience girls, don't give up. I see potential in them!~

cnbluex3 rinachan18 Tuesday, June 28, 2016

that the point in the article. these girls aren't rookie groups, they actually debuted in 2011, that's 5 years ago

sparkle2010 rinachan18 Tuesday, June 28, 2016

they're hoobae's to those groups XD

rinachan18 Tuesday, June 28, 2016

WHAT *major shock* Oh my *scrapes herself back to the chair* Wow, sorry, I really though they were rookies >.< I was even surprised that they have already released 3 mini albums. If that's the case I'm really disappointed that they couldn't gain more attention, I really love "Deepened" and "High Heel" as well. ;_; Geez they totally deserve the attention unlike some other groups such as :"D

seeing this article makes me sad..but at the same time it just how the business keep evolving through time

blackcat87 Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Yeah, that's right. The competition in korean music scene is very tough these days. The best examples are EXO, Twice and Taeyeon (not yet, but very soon). But still... Brave Girls fighting!

aldrin_m blackcat87 Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Don't forget Sistar :D

Winston aldrin_m Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Yes the point is last week SISTAR cameback, the time week has Taeyeon, and next week has BEAST, each week has 1 or 2 "strong contenders" of the #1 win, that it is very very hard for small agency to win #1, unless the song is helped by other factors, like being an OST and helped by the drama ratings or maybe the song is from a popular audition program like SMTM or Produce 101 etc, which will help the song gain popularity.

eager_beaver Tuesday, June 28, 2016

"The atmosphere at music shows has changed too." How, I wonder? More competitive?

madforthis eager_beaver Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Probably. There's also generally a not aggressive, but competitive atmosphere among rookies. I don't know if you heard but there's sort of a ranking system. The better your group is, the later you perform. That's why EXO,Sistar, and Exid always perform towards the end.

Winston madforthis Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Kwanghee who is previously an inkigayo MC, said on Happy Together before that he looks at the program's "performance order" and usually the more popular or senior group performs at the end or at the finale. of cos Seniority does count, but popularity is also an important fact, because there are times senior groups like Fiestar dun perform at the ending even when they do comeback stages because there is a more popular though hoobae group at the end doing comeback.
