KBS' ban on Jessica's new song "Fly" is officially lifted.

On May 19, Coridel Entertainment announced, "The problematic lyrics are now silenced, and the song was submitted for re-deliberation on May 18." Fortunately, KBS approved the changes, and the song has officially been deemed as approrpiate for broadcast.

It was fated! pff such a waste of time for our Jessica!

waffieebay12 Thursday, May 19, 2016

...Sooo is Jessica going to promote now on Music Bank?

xricax waffieebay12 Friday, May 20, 2016

She would if she want to,but didn't she say she's not going to promote for this album?

ac4609 xricax Friday, May 20, 2016

Awww when did she say that? 😢

waffieebay12 xricax Friday, May 20, 2016

But then what was the point in resubmitting the song to KBS?

I remember her saying in an interview though

xricax waffieebay12 Friday, May 20, 2016

To allow the song to be played through KBS ,I guess? And she's the MC of beauty bible which is from KBS, right? She needs her song to be played.

mango_91 xricax Wednesday, May 25, 2016

What is the reason that Sica won't promote her album? I bet all my cash on that SM made her shut her promotings in silent face to face in a private room.

mango_91 Wednesday, May 25, 2016

I mean what stupid artist won't promote their album?! That's so fucked up. As said I'm blaming SM for it. No matter excuses there are, former SM artists have to be shadowed from the music industry like broadcasting shows etc.

xricax mango_91 Thursday, May 26, 2016

Well I'm not sure about why. But actually there are many artists who doesn't promote their album. But then, Jessica's case with SM is a different story compared to JYJ 's. SM wanted Jessica to leave and Jessica doesn't have that much of a thing for putting SNSD first before her so they're probably came off quite clean,i guess? Not sure if that's the correct word for it. Jessica didn't sue SM like how former SM artists did.

mango_91 xricax Thursday, May 26, 2016

I highly doubt that there is any harmony between Jessica and SM behind the public´s view. I´m sure SM is telling Sica to shut down her promotings in silent. It´s just too good to be true that there are pretty obvious fishy things going on.

xricax mango_91 Thursday, May 26, 2016

Well, I don't really care about it. I'm just saying what I know.

xiahammett Thursday, May 19, 2016

Go Sica, Go Coridel! <333 Where can I find a guy like Tyler Kwon?

BigBlueagain Thursday, May 19, 2016

It never should have been banned in the first place. Rap name drops products as a form of bragging. It's how it relates the success of the rapper by the material possessions he has. What the hell do they think they're doing by marring that? Ain't no swag without the tag bishes.

nami_chan Thursday, May 19, 2016

the lyrics wasn't even problematic ¬¬ but whatever, good for her ;)

JamesR nami_chan Thursday, May 19, 2016

There was a problem because she mentioned Crown Vic and Benz - Brand names are a no-no for KBS (The BBC has a similar policy)

ZanoZik JamesR Thursday, May 19, 2016

Weak up and smell the reality neither "Crown Victoria" nor "Benz" is a trademark of any kind. Duuhhh!!!

whatever101 Thursday, May 19, 2016

well at least we know the SM BLACKLIST isn't in effect, cause U KNOW KBS would be like "dats nice but ummmmmm we're still not gonna play it for reasons that cannot be explained,,,,bye"

lunawinter Thursday, May 19, 2016

"approrpiate" lolol

partyfan2013 Thursday, May 19, 2016

I'm sorry but I know that I still hate KBS' guts because of their silly censorship.  They need to loosen up their censorship and just censor out songs and videos that condone criminal behavior as well as excessive amounts of sexism, racism, violence and gore.

chenyue10 partyfan2013 Thursday, May 19, 2016

It is not KBS, its the korean laws....

partyfan2013 chenyue10 Thursday, May 19, 2016

Um, it is REALLY KBS because of their stupid censorship. So therefore, we shouldn't point the fingers at somebody else right now.

biscuitsandmilk partyfan2013 Thursday, May 19, 2016

KBS is public TV, though. Not like Mnet.

krell partyfan2013 Thursday, May 19, 2016

@partyfan2013 <-- The CENSORSHIP that KBS-TV has it, is LEGALLY MANDATED by S.KOREAN LAW, and *specific* to a GOVERNMENT OWNED K-TV Channel. Those same S.K. Laws do NOT apply to say MNET, which is just a 'normal' S.K. Cable Channel. To change the manner in which KBS-TV does their censoring, would require a WRITTEN LAW CHANGE that is passed by the NATIONAL S.KOREAN LEGISLATURE. It is NOT as though those doing the CENSORSHIP (on some committee) can just decide to 'do it differently' because they choose that. They actually have NO CHOICE due to S.KOREAN LAWS that are BINDING on them. IF you want to argue that the LAWS need to be reviewed and changed; fair enough. But sadly, this is likely NOT A PRIORITY for the NATIONAL S.K. LEGISLATURE.

krell partyfan2013 Thursday, May 19, 2016

@WINSTON is the AKP user who really KNOWS about this KBS-TV CENSORSHIP issue. I'll try to get his attention.

partyfan2013 krell Thursday, May 19, 2016

It's not the laws, dude. It's the TV channel for crying out loud.

waffieebay12 krell Thursday, May 19, 2016

Where do you get all this information?

krell waffieebay12 Thursday, May 19, 2016

Actually, @WINSTON (AKP user) did take time to post a quite comprehensive message about KBS-TV and their CENSORSHIP situation awhile back. Which, maybe he will say more on it now (hopefully).

krell waffieebay12 Thursday, May 19, 2016

This is a @WINSTON message from awhile back about KBS-TV CENSORSHIP --> ...

waffieebay12 krell Thursday, May 19, 2016

That's informative, thank you.

ZanoZik krell Thursday, May 19, 2016

Please, oh please, cite this law, that prohibit words "Benz", "Crown", and "Victoria" on Korean TV. Oh be so kind!

chenyue10 ZanoZik Friday, May 20, 2016

Eat Your Kimichi did a youtube post about it once.

krell ZanoZik Friday, May 20, 2016

@ZanoZik <-- Actually, I went a looked again at what AKP users said about the KBS-TV situation and CENSORSHIP. And you are *correct* that there is NOT a LAW per se. So, you 'got me' on this. But what HAS been said, is that the CEO of the KBS-TV station, is actually APPOINTED by the S.KOREAN PRESIDENT (National Government). And *other* members of the 'Board of Directors' of KBS-TV, are appointed by the 'opposing' Political Party, and like that. So, it is a VERY POLITICAL SITUATION with KBS-TV. And also, the S.KOREAN Government does SPEND BIG MONEY using KBS-TV as a meaning to like ATTRACT TOURISTS, and like that. SO, those running KBS-TV, and doing the CENSORSHIP, are a bit *DIFFERENT* from those who say run the MNET Cable TV Channel. Also, the point was made too by others (S.KOREANS who know BETTER than me), that to have these songs CENSORED for ODD reasons, actually HELPS the POPULARITY of the songs. Like in this case, everyone needs to FIND OUT WHY that the NEW JESSICA SONG was BANNED by KBS-TV. So, usually, the 'word changes' or 'dress changes' needed are *small* ones. And then K-pop fans want to view the BANNED VERSION for obvious reasons too. So, what KBS-TV is doing it, while ODD CENSORSHIP, it really has virtually NO actual NEGATIVE impact on the K-pop Groups involved. Finally, I am really NOT that 'expert' in all of this. I could WISH that say @WINSTON (AKP user) would 'bail me out' here in all of this. Anyway, IF any of my previous messages were 'misleading' somehow, that was NOT my intention. Hope this one sets it more clearly what I am trying to say it.

waffieebay12 krell Friday, May 20, 2016

Also very informative. Thank you.

krell waffieebay12 Friday, May 20, 2016

Well, I did okay in the end ... ;-) ... Anyway KBS-TV kind of 'dances to its own drummer' is how it works. They will keep getting excited about ODD things that you wonder why. But in the end, LITTLE to NO HARM is done to the K-pop Groups involved in their ODD machinations.
