On April 20 airing of 'Lee Kuk Ju's Young Street', Yoon Si Yoon revealed, "I'm currently filming for 'Witch Exemplar'. It's a historical drama, my first one. When I read the script, it was so good and the story seemed so fun, so I just said I'd do it. I think everyone should look forward to it. I really wanted to start working again. I wanted to see myself in front of the camera again."
About his character in the drama, Korean historical figure Heo Joon, he relayed, "I am a little worried, seeing how there's already a legendary drama about Heo Joon, so there's a standard about his figure. But I think this Heo Joon will be a little different. He even sells fake medicine in one scene."
