The March 18 episode of 'Produce 101' showed the remaining contestants going head to head for first place in order to win the benefit of 150,000 votes. The girls were divided into teams, and they were given a specific pop song to perform. 

Kim Seo Kyung, who found a new team after being kicked out of her previous one, broke down in tears when she couldn't quite get her part down.

Afterwards, when the girls began recording with guest producer San E, Kim Seo Kyung was rewarded with generous praise from the rapper. 

That's when Kim Seo Kyung noticeably brightened up, and gained more confidence to show off her innate ability. In the interview with the production crew, Kim Seo Kyung said happily, "I think compliments have the power to make you do everything well."
