Singer Eric Nam appeared on 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' on March 25 and relayed how upsetting it was to be known more as an interviewer than singer.
During the talk with Yoo Hee Yeol, he said regarding the time he appeared on an audition program, "I said that my name was Nam Yoon Do, and they asked me if I did not have an English name. I told them it was Eric, and they said let's go with Eric Nam, which is how I came to promote like this."

He moved to Korea in order to become a singer, but in the early stage of his activities, he was recognized more as a special reporter than as a singer. He said that was very upsetting, but added, "However, while interviewing, my Korean got a lot better, and more than anything, a lot of people recognized me. I got a lot."
