As catchy as EXO's songs are, it seems like people often mishear their song titles! On the April 15th episode of MBC's 'Radio Star', the MCs talked about how veteran actor Kim Heung Guk was known for saying the wrong things.
MC Yoon Jong Shin said, "Kim Heung Guk thought EXO's 'Growl' was 'Ring a Ling'," causing the studio to burst out into laughter. In Korean, "Growl" is 'Euh-leuh-rung' and Kim Heung Guk thought it was 'dda-leuh-leung' like the sound of a bell on a bike.
MC Kim Gu Ra said, "Mistaking 'euh' for 'dda'. That doesn't make any sense." MC Yoon Jong Shin added, "I've also heard of a person who thought 'Growl' was 'Roar' (Uh-heung)." The MCs asked, "You said 'Ring a Ling' on purpose, didn't you?" Kim Heung Guk replied, "I'm sorry to them, but I didn't know the song title."
This isn't the first time people have misheard EXO's song titles. When the leaked version of EXO's "Call Me Baby" came out, some netizens thought the song title was "Call Me Daddy".
