According to 'A's family, on December 29 'A' was invited by her peers 'B' and 'C' to hangout after school at 3PM. 'A' followed them to a karaoke place, where 'B' and 'C's boyfriends were waiting for her. When 'A' reached the karaoke room, the students reportedly told her, "The fact that [you], who can't study well, is going to the same school as us doesn't sit well with us." They proceeded to beat her in the karaoke room for two hours, playing and singing the karaoke music loudly to ensure that no one could hear her screams.

The group of bullies then took her to the building's restroom and trapped her in a stall. They continued to beat her and spray cold water on her. If anyone came to the bathroom, the bullies would shove her face into the toilet so that she wouldn't be able to make noise.

Once 'A' passed out, the group dragged her to a nearby apartment's rooftop. 'A' cried, "Save me!" multiple times, but the group continued to violently hit her. One of the boys even burned 'A's arm with his cigarette.

Meanwhile, 'A's parents were getting worried about their daughter and called the bullies to ask for her whereabouts. They reportedly lied to them, saying, "We parted at 6PM. We don't know where she is." Whenever the parents called one of the bullies, the group beat 'A' more and more severely.

The bullies finished at 9PM and left 'A' on the rooftop. 'A' was eventually able to pick herself up and drag herself home. As a result of her six hour beating, she suffered a minor facial fracture, a hemorrhage in her eye, and bruises all over her body.

'A's family stated, "When we think about how our baby must have felt suffering these beatings alone for a long time, our hearts break." They continued, "When she came home, her face was so severely swollen that we couldn't recognize her. We don't know what our baby did wrong, but how could they beat her like this?"

Police have commented, "Currently we are investigating the victim and we plan on calling the bullies and thoroughly investigating them soon."

Netizens were horrified by this news. Many called for harsh punishment as violent bullying has become a recurring incident in the country. Comments include: "Now let's go students--to prison," "This is a generation that no longer has common sense. I hope they receive the same amount of pain they caused, even if it's not through the same method," and, "Please reestablish a law that protects minors. Young teenagers are no longer the same. Please make a strict federal law to prevent these terrifying crimes.
