Seven Seasons responds to the controversy surrounding derogatory term used in Zico's 'Tough Cookie'

Previously, Zico's "Tough Cookie" MV became an immensely controversial topic as international netizens angrily noticed the use of the Confederate flag on his jacket as well as the use of "f*ggot" in the lyrics, "You're such a f*ggot b*tch."

His agency, Seven Seasons, stepped up on November 11 to offer an explanation to fans about Zico's questionable choice of words. �The agency stated, "We did not use the word 'f*ggot' in 'Tough Cookie' with the intention to disparage homosexuality. �This is just borrowed from the musical [style] and musical discourse.

If we had definitely known that the word in question was meant to criticize homosexuality, we would have severely censored it. �Just as how Zico is freely doing music-related things, he has no judgment or negative intentions in relation to homosexuality and respects the sexual minority."

The agency concluded, "We sincerely apologize to all of the people who felt displeasure because of this."
