A2O MAY (Chenyu, Shijie, Quchang, Miche, Kat), the girl group produced by legendary K-pop producer and SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man, has showcased a strong friendship with their senior, Girls’ Generation's Sunny.
On June 6, A2O MAY posted a Reels video on their official Instagram account featuring Sunny. Filmed in Los Angeles, USA, the video captures the group and Sunny in a natural and cheerful atmosphere. The A2O MAY members appeared one after another after Sunny, holding roses and sending hand kisses, creating a lovely and heartwarming vibe that brought smiles to viewers.
Sunny also shared the video on her social media the same day, further highlighting their warm senior-junior bond. Their special connection and A2O MAY’s unique efforts to engage with global fans through diverse content continue to draw attention.
Previously, A2O MAY and Sunny attended the premiere of 'Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop,' a documentary about Lee Soo Man, who is both the key producer and visionary leader of A2O Entertainment. They also participated together in a long-running tree-planting event organized by Lee Soo Man.
Sunny left SM Entertainment, where she had been since her trainee days, in August 2023. She has since joined her “uncle” Lee Soo Man’s newly founded A2O Entertainment.
Recently, she shared that she is undergoing production training under the guidance of producer Yoo Young Jin. Sunny is actively involved in designing training programs for A2O trainees, offering psychological support, participating in video content production, and even contributing to styling and choreography direction.
Since their official debut in December 2024, A2O MAY has been proving their global presence with their debut track "Under My Skin" and second single 'Boss.' Notably, they became the first Chinese girl group to perform at the major U.S. music festival, 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango. Their song "Boss" entered the Top 10 on China’s QQ Music’s main Hot Song chart, and both of their singles charted simultaneously on the U.S. Mediabase radio chart, further solidifying their rising international popularity.
