Hwang Jung Eum stated, "At times, we would say, 'We're not getting married,' but then again we ask things like, 'When should we get married?' If we get married, then we get married, but if we don't then we don't. Sometimes I don't like the way he acts, but I still like him."

It's been 9 years since they first started dating, and questions about marriage come up frequently for the actress. Not only did the couple reveal their relationship on-air during the filming of 'We Got Married', but Hwang Jung Eum was also reported to have waited for Kim Yong Joon while he was enlisted in the military for two years.
Although the two fought frequently and bickered like an old-married couple, Hwang Jung Eum expressed that they are still very much in love.
The actress said, "I get tired of him, but he is the only one who stays by my side. We break up and make up repeatedly. But when we do break up, it doesn't last more than a week. If one person doesn't call then the other person would keep calling."
She continued, "Yong Joon doesn't watch the dramas that I'm in, and he doesn't talk much about them in detail either. He knows that I will do well on my own, so he doesn't say much. He's really nice. There is no other man like Kim Yong Joon."
