Fans obliged to Big Bang's Taeyang's birthday wish for them to help others in need instead of sending him presents and donated funds to The May 18 Memorial Foundation.

According to The May 18 Memorial Foundation, members of Taeyang's fan site 'You're the Sun, I'm the Moon' donated 5,180,000 KRW (~5,000 USD) to the organization on May 15. As many of you may already know, Taeyang's birthday also falls on the day that pays respect to those who sacrificed their lives for the 5.18 Gwangju Democratization Movement in Korean history. Fans paid their tribute to those in need in honor of the meaningful day.
Taeyang turns 27 (26 in international age) on May 18. Happy early birthday, Taeyang!
