BTOB's Minhyuk was deemed the MVP of MBC's Lunar New Year's special 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' for having a total of four medals: three gold and one silver.
One gold he won while making a new record on the high jump while another he won for the 60m race. The last one he won was for futsal. He went up on the dais and said, "The medal is heavy," and pretended to fall over to everyone's amusement. He then said, "I beleive that BTOB will be a huge success in 2014. I hope all my fellow stars and fans are hugely successful, too."

In addition, the winner of the overall championship was Team B, which included B2ST, BTOB, MBLAQ, B.A.P, SECRET, Girl's Day, A Pink, AoA, C-Clown, 4minute, and Roh Ji Hoon.
