Kim Yong Man apologized formally through an official statement regarding his recent illegal sports gambling controversy.

The MC�had been charged with participating in illegal sports gambling in March, betting over 1 billion KRW (approximately 896,000 USD) over the years. He�stepped down as an MC on all five of his shows following his admittance.

He has now offered his official�statement�regarding the whole ordeal to the public:

This is Kim Yong Man.

I bow my head in apology for the disappointment I caused to those who cared for me. I am cautious and�embarrassed even to say sorry to those who I have disappointed greatly even though you have loved me more than I deserve. I'm also sorry that I could not quickly make an official statement.

I went to the prosecutors, admitted everything and participated diligently and sincerely in the investigations. No matter what decision is made regarding my actions 2 years ago, I will accept the sentence.

No matter what reason, I committed a definite wrongdoing that I, myself, cannot allow. Now, I will have a time of deep self-reflection to become a morally mature and�unshakable�person.

Again, I am sincerely sorry for worrying those who have cared for me.
