Lee Hyori to release her book 'Closer' on May 24th

Singer Lee Hyori has revealed the release date for her essay book 'Closer: The Story Started By Hyori and Soonshim' as May 24th.

'Closer' will feature stories from the daily life of Lee Hyori and her now-famous, adopted dog Soonshim as well as details of the star's involvement in animal rights and protection.

Hyori will also be telling the story of the changes from her humble beginnings as the youngest daughter of a barber to the top star she is today, and how she decided to become a vegetarian and a spokesperson for animal rights. 'Closer' will include information about breeding techniques used on animals, the truth behind animal shelters, a message against fur, exercise tips, and photos taken by Hyori herself.

All proceeds made from 'Closer' will be donated to the organization KARA (Korean Animal Rights Advocates).
