Indie band Busker Busker achieved a new milestone as online downloads for their first album surpassed the 13 million mark.
According to figures released on the 31st by�Gaon Chart, Busker Busker's first album has accrued a grand total of 13,055,149 downloads. The number is a compilation of all downloads for the eleven tracks included in their album.
The song with the highest number of downloads was "Cherry Blossom Ending" with 2,184,650 downloads. Including this track, six songs broke 1 million for digital downloads.
A representative for the Gaon Chart praised the rookies, saying, "Breaking the 10 million mark for a full album is a tough feat even for top artists. Also, Busker Busker had several popular songs instead of one specific song. In album sales, Busker Busker has sold more than 70,000 albums to date, so it is also possible they will break 100,000 purchases for their album sales as well."
