You may remember the members of T-ara asking their fans to help come up with a new name for Core Contents Media's newest girl group. It seems the name has finally been decided upon and has been revealed to the public recently.
The new seven member group, composed of Hwang Ji Hyun, Choi Soo Eun, Esther, Lee Hae In, Kim Hye Ji, Somin, and Jo Eun Byul, will be called "Gang Kids". After collecting ideas from 37,500 fans and netizens, and after much consideration, the name of "Gang Kids" was decided on, which is said to represent the image of "cute bad girls".
Gang Kids have just completed their 8 nights 9 days trip to Europe to film their music video with the T-ara members, and are currently preparing for their upcoming debut in May.
T-ara thanked everyone who sent in ideas, stating, "Thank you for all the people who participated in the contest."
Gang Kids also sent their words of gratitude as they added, "We will work hard to pay back everyone for the love they've given us."
T-ara picked ten out of the many who submitted their ideas to award them the autographed photobook, "Best of Best."
