Singer Huh Gak's twin brother Huh Gong recently auditioned for Mnet's new audition program 'Voice Korea', and selected Baek Ji Young to be his personal vocal coach over singer Shin Seung Hun.
Netizens were impressed with Huh Gong's performance of Toy's "Still Beautiful", but they also took note of his elegant girlfriend who accompanied him for moral support on the day of his audition.
Huh Gong's girlfriend shed some emotional tears after he successfully joined coach Baek Ji Young's team, and netizens immediately began inquiring about her online.
At an interview that took place after his audition, Huh Gong was asked how the people close to him reacted to his performance. "They asked why I was sweating so much, and told me to lose weight," he said. And in regards to his girlfriend receiving attention, he remarked, "I didn't expect my girlfriend to become such a big issue. It's a little intimidating, and I am approaching the situation with caution. She is currently a model for an online shopping mall."
When asked what his brother Huh Gak had said to him after his audition, he remarked, "Huh Gak was a little jealous that Yoo Sung Eun and Kang Mi Jin showed their interest. Yoo Sung Eun called him right after the performance was over and asked, 'Who is this, do you know him? I want to become close to him musically'."
He continued, "During the program, I said, 'Huh Gak, are you watching? Wait for me. I'm coming', and Huh Gak wrote on his Twitter page, 'I did. I'm watching. Bring it.' I teared reading that. Huh Gak helped me a lot, even helping me choose the song. We can't see each other often, so we talk on the phone, and he would sing the song he chose for me and helped me in the areas that I needed coaching."
When asked about his family's reaction to his performance, he said, "My father pretends like he isn't too interested, but he saw the entire episode. My relatives were very supportive, and maybe it's because I'm the oldest, but my dad cheered me on and guided me more than he did for Huh Gak."
Huh Gong who confessed that his rivals are Yoo Sung Eun and Kang Mi Jin remarked, "Winning isn't necessarily my goal, I just want to work hard to learn and experience as much as I can."
