'1 Night 2 Days' will not alter its show name for new season

KBS has announced that they will not be altering the name of their popular variety program,�'1 Night 2 Days' ('1N2D'), for its new season.

On January 31st, a representative of KBS's entertainment division spoke with Star News and revealed, "The follow up season to '1N2D' will inherit the name from its predecessor directly. What it really comes down to now is whether it will be a season two of the same show or if it will have a different theme."

He continued, "The show will not be completely different, as it will maintain 1N2D's original 'on-the-road variety concept'. As such, the entertainment division felt that it wouldn't be necessary to tack on 'Season 2' to the same name. We've mostly reached a consensus to just keep going under the same title. We don't feel that it's necessary to give a name change to such a popular variety show, especially when other popular variety shows put out a second season without any special changes."

To conclude, the representative simply summarized, "The new season of �'1N2D' is not a completely new program, so viewers can just consider it as the same show but with member changes."

The follow up season will begin airing on March 4th.
