On December 30th, the Japanese music industry held one of its most prestigious events of the year, the '53rd Japan Record Awards', an event honoring the best and brightest of 2011.
The award show aired through Japan's TBS and some of Korea's brightest were also in attendance as 2NE1, KARA, and TVXQ put on wonderful performances for everyone. 2NE1 performed 'Go Away', TVXQ performed 'Why? Keep Your Head Down', and KARA performed 'Go Go Summer'.
Additionally, 2NE1 were also rewarded with a rookie award.
