Super Junior's Ki Bum confirmed for new SBS drama

Super Junior's Kim Ki Bum has been confirmed for the new SBS drama 'Deep Rooted Tree'. SidusHQ's producer Hwang Ki Yong, who is producing 'Deep Rooted Tree' stated, "Kim Ki Bum has been cast for the role of Park Peng Nyun but filming hasn't started yet." 'Deep Rooted Tree' is based off an original historical fiction novel of the same title. The novel revolves around a mysterious story and when the book was released back in 2006, it was considered to be Korea's 'Da Vinci's Code'. Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who formerly wrote for 'Daejanggeum' and 'Queen Seonduk', will be writing for the drama. Currently, Han Suk Gyu, Jang Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, Yoon Je Moon, and Song Joong Gi have been confirmed for the cast. 'Deep Rooted Tree' will be the follow-up program for 'Protect the Boss', which is the follow-up program of 'City Hunter'. It will begin airing on September 28th. Source: OhMyNews
