Jang Jae In holds a colorful showcase for debut album, "Day Breaker"

On May 24th, "Superstar K2" contestant Jang Jae In held her debut showcase for her upcoming album, "Day Breaker", at the Baekam Art Hall. Known as a 'Cinderella' amongst fans, Jang Jae In managed to overcome a long and troublesome past in order to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. She made her formal debut through the showcase, and gave everyone a live snippet of her album's tracks. When asked about transitioning from a student to a professional musician, she replied, "I don't have any thoughts about that.�I don't even feel greedy enough to want to succeed. My dream has always been to release an album before I turn 20. I turn 20 this year on June 6th, so I'm glad I was able to achieve it." She continued, "I'm really thankful, and I do realize that I was able to reach where I am now through everyone's love and support." Producer Kim Hyung Suk added, "I really didn't do much for her album.�She's walking her own path as a singer-songwriter, so I don't want to make decisions for her.�My only hope is that she doesn't experience too many trials and errors.�This album is an album created from ideas in her own mind." True to Kim Hyung Suk's words, Jang Jae In composed, wrote, arranged, and produced her entire debut album.�Her title track, "Toy Soldiers", has a retro vintage feel that brings out her soulful vocal color.
