The last thing you want when you make the very personal and private decision to go under the knife is everyone disparaging you for your action. Well, that is exactly what happened to Yang Mi Ra in 2007, when the industry that seemed so open and welcoming in the beginning quickly turned its back when she decided to get cosmetic surgery. After being MIA for two years, talent Yang Mi Ra, participated in the latest taping of SBS Strong Heart to share the hardships she dealt with since 2007 after making drastic changes to her appearance through cosmetic surgery. On the show, teary-eyed Yang Mi Ra stated:

"It was really hard for me to live a normal life when I was getting so much criticism and hate from everywhere after I decided to get some work done in 2007�. It became so hard to endure that I had no choice but to leave the industry."

In support of her sister, Yang Eun Ji, whose own claim to fame is once being part of Baby V.O.X Re.v, also participated in the taping of the show. Yang Mi Ra originally rose to fame when she debuted with a popular comedic sketch called "Burger Girl," but her fame was short-lived when she went under the knife.
