Insooni to Hold Concert at Carnegie Hall

Korea's legendary R&B diva Insooni will be holding her own concert at the prestigious Carnegie Hall next year! Widely known as the world's greatest concert hall for both classical and popular music, Carnegie Hall was also the home of another Insooni performance ten years ago. Cho Yong-pil (Kangwon-do Arirang) was the first Korean singer to grace Carnegie Hall back in 1980. It has been confirmed that Insooni's concert has been set for February 5, 2010. A representative reportedly stated, "A contract was made through negotiations after a proposal for a performance from New York." This performance will be especially significant for Insooni as her previous requests to perform at the Opera Theater of Seoul Arts were rejected on two occasions due to her pop style music. Known for her raw & emotive voice, Insooni has been popular over her long career, from her debut back in 1978 with the Hee Sisters to her feature this week in Mighty Mouth's Laugh.
