Uhm Jung Hwa Joins The Man Who Can't Get Married

It was announced today that Uhm Jung Hwa (37) will become the female lead of new KBS2TV drama The Man Who Can't Get Married. This will be her comeback drama after SBS Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung in 2007. According to Sim Entertainment this morning, Uhm Jung Hwa will be starring opposite Jin Jin Hee and Kim So Eun who have been confirmed last week. The drama is a remake of the 2006 Japanese drama Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (starring Abe Hiroshi) with Uhm Jung Hwa taking on Natsukawa Yui's role and acting as a female doctor who falls in love with Ji Jin Hee's character. According to the production company, Uhm Jung Hwa had already been marked as the top candidate for the role while they doing the casting for the drama because they felt that the role was tailor-made for her. The Man Who Can't Get Married is about a man who can't seem to get married even though he's already 40 because of his unpleasant personality. The drama will premiere on 15th June after Story of A Man.
