NCT 127 have decided not to promote their latest title track "Cherry Bomb" on KBS's 'Music Bank'.

SEE ALSO: NCT 127 perform at an Apple store in Brooklyn, NY

A few days ago, KBS deemed "Cherry Bomb" unfit for broadcast due to violent and gory descriptions. SM Entertainment responded on June 16, "It's true that NCT 127's 'Cherry Bomb' lyrics failed to pass the broadcast regulations. But if the lyrics are changed, the song will not have its original feel, so even though we feel saddened, we've decided not to perform the title song [on 'Music Bank']. Instead, after agreeing with KBS, they will perform '0 Mile'."

Fans will still be able to watch NCT 127's performance of "0 Mile" on 'Music Bank' this June 16. Do you like NCT 127's title track "Cherry Bomb"?

I was not anticipating that coming from SM, but I'm glad they worked out to promote another song instead.

Very professional and respectful! 0 Mile is a bop anyway so I'm very excited!

too bad but i guess they made the right decision.. they worked hard for the song  so it's really not worth it to do some last minute changes and spend effort and money just for the Music Bank performance.

I love that theyre choosing to stay true to the songs artistry over allowing it to gain popularity

I'm not entirely sure why the lyrics are inappropriate. It just sounds like nct is bragging that they're about to blow up and that there's on the next level. I guess you could interpret 'cherry bomb' as something more sexual??

It's not sexual thing but there's 'violent and gory descriptions' in the lyrics. I'm not sure which part tho.

It alludes to someones head popping off like fireworks, which is pretty violent

hahah wait, the Kingsman reference is what they thought was violent?? But in the movie their heads literally blew up in a way that looked like fireworks, there was no gore or blood at all.

I don't know, kingsman was a good movie. But it was r rated and pretty violent, so that might be the same reasoning. Its not exactly the gore but the premise of heads blowing up in general.
