'Produce 101' season 2 contestant Jang Won Chul officially apologized for using VIXX N's choreography in his intro video without giving credit.

The HF Music Company trainee performed a beautiful dance for his 1-minute intro video. Unfortunately, many netizens pointed out that the choreography is greatly similar to the one performed by N during 'VIXX LIVE FANTASIA ELYSIUM' concert. Jang Won Chul was ultimately accused of and criticized for stealing the dance created by N.

In response to the issue, HF Music Company posted an apology. The label stated,

"We sincerely apologize for not paying careful attention to the 1-minute PR intro video when we should've deeply cared for it. We also believe that such a mistake is unacceptable."

HF Music Company then listed their wrongdoings, and continued,

"1. The choreography, which was a personal creation by VIXX's N, was used without credit.

2. We processed on without checking when we're an entertainment agency that needs to be aware of the importance of copyright.

All of our employees will carefully check the details on copyrights and personal creations from now on, and make sure we don't repeat the same mistake again.

We once again apologize to Jellyfish Entertainment, VIXX's N, and all Starlights who were hurt by the issue. We also apolgize to the producers of Mnet 'Produce 101' season 2. HF Music Company will make sure that such disgraceful incident does not happen again."

I'm definitely starting to think that Allkpop (or at least one of their writer) is biased against VIXX. They almost never mention their achievements or the good things they do but whenever there is something like a small scandal, they jump on it like sharks at the scent of blood. I mean, what's with the " " of stealing ? He did performed without giving credits, he wasn't wrongly accused. And Jellyfish already accepted the apology so no Starlights is mad anymore ( but ofc, you wouldn't mention that in your article, right ?). Just stop creating controversies where there is none, not just for VIXX but for all the others idol groups too.

Yeah it's weird, you never see a nice article about VIXX, unless it's about Ravi.

Starlights are more happy than pissed off-he apologized, so it's okay- we are glad that someone notices N's talent. I love this fandom <3(Also, we already had some stealing scandals, our fandom is already bulletproof XD)

Without a doubt, it's a good thing this happened early in the career as a lesson. If this kid debuted and god forbid did something similar with some of the other fandoms....not a pretty picture.

Think starlights care more when a person steals it and then denies it. Though I'm really curious did he think he could get away or was it an honest mistake. Korea and netizens kinda blur the line now day in age so if it was just that he forgot give him a break. If he did it on purpose at least he admitted his mistake.

in fact his agency was fast in admitting their mistake to not credit N and so the y credit him now in naver performance video and there is not that much hate on him because of the fast feedback from both parts

*Good* to hear that this happened ; *both* the 'offending' HF Agency and JELLYFISH Agency being able to 'move beyond' something rather trivial. Hopefully, the 'HF' and 'JF' Agencies 'shared a SOJU' over it.
