mnet needs to calm down with all the survival shows

the fact that the ad literally says you don't need talent, only to be pretty, tells you exactly what kind of show it's going to be. mnet are terrible, honestly. they need to stop.

Mona_Vanderwaal Tuesday, March 28, 2017

mnet been trash

Mnet needs to put a hold on idol group shows until they can learn to do it properly. Boys24 is a hot mess. And, while IOI was a hit, the fact that they had to disband because of management contracts means they broke apart what was on the way to being one of the top girl groups of this generation.

wonderboy47 trboo Tuesday, March 28, 2017

IOI was always a project group though. Their contract was supposed to only last a year so that they can go back to their companies but due to demand they extended the contract slightly. I do agree on Boys24 and with PRoduce 101 boy edition coming out, they need to wait a bit to do something else with idol groups.

Yes, about IOI. But, it is still a shame that such a great group had to end before they could establish almost certain greatness. Since there is not many details about this show, maybe it will fix what happened with IOI. As others mentioned - if they find people off the street, or former trainees not currently signed to a company, then it's possible Mnet could debut a popular and permanent group.

wonderboy47 trboo Tuesday, March 28, 2017

Definitely. Idk why channels that host music shows and all these popular programs are only just getting into managing their own groups. They can give them so much exposure!

All of you do understand that Mnet doesnt care about the Idol its all about ratings and TV commercials, to make it short its all about money as long as there are people watching this kind of shows Mnet will continue to produce such shows.

Looks like mnet take advantage to create another show because of produce 101 season 1 became hit. Well that was fine bcoz it will give opportunity to people to debut. But i think it was better if they focused on debuting boy group produce 101 first and promoting them more. They are rushing to create another girl group. I think it was good to create new girl group next year because this year i dont know it will be intense competition. So many rookies this year debut including ioi member group. There is rumor saying sm will debut white fox next year but still unsure about it and didnt heard any news about other group debuting next year. But if they really debut new gg dis year, there is high possibility also this new gg also will having great spotlight like IOI.
