Jessica and her agency denied all allegations about the singer's connection to Choi Soon Shil, the woman who is in the center of the Korean President's political scandal.
On November 14, Coridel Entertainment released a statement that adamantly denied the rumor that points to the singer as the celebrity who have been reaping benefits from being 'Choi Soon Shil's celebrity.'
Earlier this month, Congressman Ahn Min Suk have stated in an interview that there was a celebrity who was being favored by Choi Soon Shil and people close to her, and that the celebrity was receiving unfair benefits and advantages in the industry because of Choi's influence. Some netizens began to suspect Jessica, posting on social media and other online platforms that stated their suspicion.
The agency emphasized that because Jessica's reputation and honor can be greatly damaged, those posts should be deleted.
Following is the full statement from Jessica's agency:

We want to state that our artist has nothing to do with Choi Soon Shil Gate and the mentioned celebrity related to the scandal.
Congressman Ahn Min Suk have also clarified that the online posts going around are false and have been edited and put together, as if they are real articles. We are taking legal actions against those malicious online posts and social media content.
We are saddened to see that Jessica is being mentioned is this situation without any evidence and must take actions -- especially since it is tied to a grave, national matter.
