On October 12, YG Entertainment announced WINNER's comeback has been delayed, and Nam Tae Hyun will be taking a hiatus for his psychological health. The agency revealed the WINNER member was suffering from mental health issues since his trainee days, but the issues worsened in recent months. WINNER's comeback has also been postponed for the time being.

YGE stated, "It's a disappointing situation that the timing for WINNER's next activity cannot be anticipated. YG hopes the WINNER members successfully overcome the team's first crisis, and we'll be doing our best so that they can take off once again."

Nam Tae Hyun is currently staying with his family and receiving treatment. Hopefully, he feels better soon.

I don't like how YG is blaming Taehyun for everything. It feels like they are abandoning him.

Am I the only one who is a bit disappointed in YG's statement? I don't know if they've said more about this situation, but what is quoted in this article is very...disgusting in a way. YG seems to care more about making sure that Taehyun stands on the stage as soon as possible instead of him actually recovering

Honestly, if he wanted Taehyun on stage as soon as possible their comeback wouldn't be taking almost 2 years. Or he could've just disregarded Taehyun's emotions under the reasoning that he's contracted to be an artist and must be working. There are a lot of things YG could've done if he actually felt that way.

Glad he's getting help and the company is being open about it. Alot of the times, companies refuse to make the news public and demand you to keep quiet in fear that you would damage the reputation of the group and ultimately the company. PAPA YG <3

I'm glad he's taking a break for himself but this just makes me wonder why he has been constantly posting music on his soundcloud. For some people it help their mental health to be busy (like me) but for others it helps to take a break. So it makes me wonder if he was forced to take a break and he's trying to keep busy for the sake of his own mental health by posting a lot on soundcloud.

the problem with mental health issues is that people didn't acknowledge that they have problem until it's too late. to be healthy spiritually is important too. as his job is an idol, stress can accumulate and then force them to take a break. i like it how nowadays competitive competition provide counselling to the participants. this is important as they are under a lot of stress. don't blame yourselves if you didn't know someone is suffering from a mental health issues, it's hard to detect even by the closest person to them. human defense mechanism is complicated

Honestly I feel so bad for not having noticed sooner. Truthfully, I know all of the WINNER members have been through a LOT emotionally and mentally, I'm sure other idols/groups have faced this as well, but with WINNER it's really prominent. I guess I just never registered that they'd still be suffering today so I selfishly asked for a comeback.. I'm sorry Taehyun, and I'm sorry WINNER. You guys need to take care of yourselves for now, I hope that you can return refreshed and even better than ever. IC's love you, get well and take your time!

I'm glad he's taking it seriously and giving himself time to overcome it. We'll wait for you, Taehyun and the rest of WINNER. Don't worry.
