On August 5, former Jewelry members Yewon and Seo In Young engaged in an interview together with Ilgan Sports, discussing Yewon's past controversy involving Lee Tae Im

Seo In Young shared her initial reaction to the controversy, saying, "At first, I was on Yewon's side, but later when I saw the clip, I realized that her actions could be misunderstood. I think if Yewon was more thoughtful, then the situation would not have resulted in that way."

She then admitted, "I was very disappointed. I was wondering why she acted that way." Seo In Young also revealed the advice she gave to her hoobae, saying, "I told her it was her fault for causing a misunderstanding. Her tone was reasonable for criticism. She was probably worried when she asked 'Are you cold,' but after that, it was completely her mistake."

I seriously don't understand this kind of persecution of people who make mistakes...as if we are all not human and imperfect. The hateful words are scarier and more disappointing than the "scandals" themselves....smh

I think it's time to forgive her and move forward.  Her agency, Dispatch and MNet all had a hand in shielding her.  It's been long enough.

I would have been on Yewon's side if her company didn't try to cover her. I mean Lee Tae Im had a superiority complex and was being a bitch. Yewon responds was of a person in an awkward and/or annoyed place. I don't find it wrong to stick up for yourself when an asshole is talking down to you. Your age doesn't make you god. BUT then her company lied about her responses. Making Tae Im look like the victim when in reality she was being a bully. So in that part Yewon's camp was wrong. They should have been upfront about the whole situation. The scandal probably wouldn't have effected her much. So no I disagree with you SIY.

I agree. It was pretty shitty of the company to make her look like a victim and then when the other video came out, they basically put it all on Yewon, when they had a big part in it. In the end, she received a bunch of hate, when they could have just had her apologize in the first place. Now people see her as a liar when it could have been cleared from the get-go

Long time ago and should have been let go yea... but it is a BIG deal... even kids beat the shit out of another kid 1 year younger at school if they don't use the correct "respect". (I don't think its a good thing, but) It runs deep. In Korean culture your age does make you god (to a degree) unfortunately. Age difference, being cold and easily annoyed... your junior making a joke about the situation and not using respectful talk... yea the reaction was a given.

Well I think the reason why they asked was because last people had heard from her was when she was let go from WGM, because of the controversy that happened on another program. It's bound to come up and just because she apologized doesn't change how people now view her. Let's not forget she and her company lied to make her seem like the victim, Lee Tae Im was fired and her image distorted because of her lie, and her apology didn't come to Lee Tae Im until after the video was released and revealed the truth. Which made her apology seem insincere and like she was trying to save face. Yeah, the public doesn't have a great view of her it'll be a while before people completely let it go.

Oh come on stop with this stupid and ancient 'controversy'. We don't care anymore. They were both at fault and that's it bye

I think that both involved parties (Yewon and Lee Tae Im) regret what happened. Seo In Young would be better off to *not* offer opinions on the 'right and wrong' of it. NOTHING for her to gain from that. And this is fairly old news now. So people do *not* always behave at their best. What a surprise.
